Empowering people to use the power of agriculture to transform lives

George Washington Carver Food Research Institute (GWCFRI) is dedicated to uplifting the lives of individuals through agricultural science, technology, entrepreneurship, art and mathematic (STEAM) education. We share the collective insights of experienced food professionals to advance farming techniques, food production and business acumen with the goal of fueling economic, personal growth and growing communities.

We are a 501C3 nonprofit organization originally founded in Columbus, Ohio by Ian Blount and Angela Cauley in 2013 which offers educational programming to youth and adults. Our team works with individuals, schools, colleges & universities, organizations and aspiring business-owners to provide training in the areas of health & wellness, sustainable agriculture, food science and Foodpreneurship™.
