Ag S.T.E.A.M Academy

The George Washington Carver Food Research Institute (GWCFRI) is a non-profit organization committed to promoting holistic health, wellness, and financial empowerment for underserved populations through food research and service-based agricultural education. This exciting, hands-on summer program is designed to immerse high school students in the world of food science, nutrition, agriculture, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). Taking place at KRESA Career Connect Campus (www.kresa.org) from June 15th to June 26th, Monday through Friday, the academy offers a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of food science and agricultural innovation through interactive workshops, field trips, and collaborative projects. Throughout the two-week program, students will work alongside industry professionals, researchers, and experts to gain real-world knowledge in the fields of food science and nutrition.
